At Seacoast Guide Service we offer fully-guided ice fishing trips for lake trout, brown trout, brook trout, and pan-fish (black crappie, bluegill, and white perch). You will be treated with courtesy and professionalism by a skilled and experienced guide. Most fishing locations are pre-fished the week prior to a client's trip to ensure good catches and safe ice conditions.
We provide any bait and tackle you will need. Tip-ups and jig rods will be provided and tended to diligently to maximize the potential to catch fish.
We have on hand a 6'X12' portable hub style shelter that can be set up for some of the worst weather days or just a place to get in and have a warm up.
In case of cold hands we always have plenty of hand warmers available.
If you're worried about safety, don't. We never bring clients to places that aren't completely safe. If that's not good enough, your guide will be wearing a suit capable of floating over 6oo pounds. We also carry a 50' throw bag and several sets of safety ice picks that can be worn around the neck by clients.

What to expect:
Once you have settled on an available date you will receive a payment request via Paypal for your trip deposit. This will secure the date you requested. Your balance will be due on the day of your trip. You will receive a contract, waiver, and contact form either in an email (preferred) or regular mail that will need to be filled out and returned at your earliest convenience.
Your fishing location will be chosen based on what kind of fish you want to catch, ice conditions, and fishing pressure. Locations are subject to change at guide's discretion.
You will be contacted by your guide sometime during the week prior to your trip with details about where and when to meet. Plan on meeting your guide around 6:30am the day of your trip.
Upon meeting your guide you will be taken to your fishing location. Once your guide checks the licenses of all party members you will make your way out onto the ice. Sometimes your guide will have already been there to set up the portable shelter and drill some holes.
During your trip you will not need to do anything except catch fish. Your guide will take care of everything else, like setting up gear, baiting hooks, removing fish, etc. However, you can get as active as you like. Many clients like to try drilling and skimming holes, baiting hooks, and remove their own fish. It's your trip and we want you to enjoy it.
If the fishing is too slow your guide may decide to pack up and move to another location on the lake/pond you are fishing. FYI, mid-day is often the slowest part of the day. This is usually when the best jokes are told.
It is your right to consume alcohol while on the ice if you are 21 or older, we do not have a policy against it. We only ask that you drink responsibly. Do not attempt to drive after you have been drinking. If your guide feels it is unsafe for you to drive and you insist on doing so anyway, he will report you to the authorities.
We will take lots of photos and maybe even some video during your trip. It's one way we let our clients know how successful we are. You will have access to all photos and videos after our trip.
When 3pm rolls around you can go home and your guide will take care of putting all the gear away, it's his job.

Our specialty is panfish. They are excellent table fare. We are known for catching large numbers of fish. For the fishermen just wanting to chase flags and catch some big fish, but who might not want to eat their catch, we target large mouth bass and pickerel for their size and numbers. Early in the season we chase trophy brook and brown trout. We also provide lake trout trips on Lake Winnepesaukee and Sunapee.
Our ice fishing guide, Tim Moore, has been ice fishing for over 30 years. He fishes all over the state of New Hampshire. His passion is pan-fish. He holds a NH Trophy Fish patch for a 15 1/2" black crappie that weighed 2.07 pounds, one of two 15 1/2" crappie caught that same day. He knows several water bodies including Lake Winnipesaukee and can put you on big numbers or big fish, and sometimes both! It is not uncommon for him to catch 20 crappie in the 10" - 12" range in a half day by himself.
On January 17, 2011 Tim set a new personal best for white perch, 65 fish in just under 4 hours! This doesn't happen every day but like he says "you have to be there for it to happen".
Tim is also a member of Team Vexilar. He uses a Vexilar sonar flasher to locate fish. You will know if there are fish there, where in the water column the fish are, how they are responding to your bait (or not), and most importantly, when they are gone. No more wondering if there are any fish down there. Often times, when fish have moved or the bite
is slow, your guide will move around with the Vexilar to locate fish or
figure out what will trigger them to bite. You can expect to be very mobile when ice fishing with us. If you fish a particular hole without catching a fish you will move to another hole. If you fish a particular area without catching fish we will move to another location.
There are many circumstances that can affect fish locations
in winter, just as in summer. Late snow cover can affect the amount of
photosynthesis, which directly affects the amount of oxygen in the water. No
snow cover means more photosynthesis, which in turn means higher oxygen levels
in deep water. Knowing what areas have been getting pressured prior to fishing
is also key, so as to avoid fishing for spooked fish. Having a guide who keeps
track of issues such as these, as well as a thorough knowledge of quality
fishing areas, can greatly increase the number of fish you catch.
